The trochlea has a diabolo shape. In reality, as well as in a 3D view (here, scanned from real bones), it is not very clearly defined. Generally, we slightly exaggerate its shape in a drawing to clearly distinguish it from the condyle. In all cases, the trochlea will always be the wider and thicker of the two.

Hello Yohan, I also have some doubts about my understanding of the asymmetry of the elbow trochlea. In the video, in the schematic representation resembling a diabolo, the widest part is placed on the left, which suggests that the forearm will be angled towards the right; however, in the schematic drawing beside it, you draw it as angled towards the left. I wanted to be sure that I had correctly interpreted this, namely that the "longest" part of the trochlea is indeed located on the inside of the elbow (the medial part, so 😉).

Dans la vidéo, à la représentation schématique en diabolo, la partie la plus large est mise à gauche, laissant penser que c'est vers la droite que l'avant bras va obliquer, hors lors du dessin schématique à côté, c'est vers la gauche que tu le dessines obliquer. Je voulais être sur d'avoir correctement interpreté la chose, comme quoi la partie la plus "longue" de la tyrochlée est bien dans l'intérieur du coude (la partie médiale, donc 😉)
Yes, the longest part of the trochlea’s edge is located on the medial side so that the forearm can be moved laterally. In the diagram, I drew the trochlea of the other arm, more out of habit than intentionally. Good observation; you did well to ask the question!

Oui la partie la plus longue du bord de la trochlée est située du côté médial pour pouvoir déporter l'avant-bras latéralement. Lors du schéma j'ai dû dessiner la trochlée de l'autre bras, plus par mégarde que volontairement. Bon oeil, tu as bien fait de poser la question !

I Je suis d'accord, quand je vois dans la vidéo, dans la démonstration du schéma du diabolo, la partie heardle la plus large est placée du côté gauche.

Yes, it’s more of an oversight. You can quickly correct it by having a good anatomy atlas handy. Phew! ;)
Oui ça tient plus de l'erreur d'inatention. On peut vite corriger ça avec un bon atlas d'anat sous la main ouf ;)
