I wanted to introduce you to one of my favorite artists, a monster, a legend... Very often people have seen one of his illustrations without knowing it. Even though he has passed away, he remains a reference in the world of science fiction and especially fantasy:
I present to you Mr. Frank Frazetta!
Personally, I believe I discovered him through "Fire and Ice," a 1983 film produced by another great man: Ralph Bakshi (who also deserves a post just for him!)
For those who might not know him, here's a little excerpt from his wiki bio:

Frank Frazetta, born February 9, 1928, in Brooklyn (New York, USA) and died on May 10, 2010[1] of a heart attack in Florida (Fort Myers), is one of the most influential American artists in science fiction and fantasy.
He started his career as a comic book artist, whether in comic books (White Indian, Thunga of the Congo, Warren publications) or comic strips (Johnny Comet, Li’l Abner, Flash Gordon). J'avais envie de vous faire découvrir un des mes artistes favoris, un monstre, une légende... Très très souvent les gens ont déjà vu une des ses illustrations sans le savoir. Même disparu il reste une référence dans l'univers de la science-fiction et surtout de la fantasy:

Personnellement, je crois que je l'ai découvert via "Tygra, le feu et la glace", un film de 1983, produit par un autre grand monsieur : Ralph Bakshi (qui mériterai lui aussi un post rien que pour lui!)
