I wanted to introduce you to one of my favorite artists, a true master, a legend... Very often, people have seen one of his illustrations without even realizing it. Even though he is no longer with us, he remains a reference in the world of science fiction and, above all, fantasy:
I'm talking about Mr. Frank Frazetta!
Personally, I believe I discovered him through "Tygra, Fire and Ice," a 1983 film produced by another great artist: Ralph Bakshi (who deserves his own post!).
For those who may not know him, here is a short excerpt from his Wikipedia bio:

Frank Frazetta, born on February 9, 1928, in Brooklyn (New York, United States), and died on May 10, 2010, in Florida (Fort Myers) from a heart attack, is one of the most influential American artists in science fiction and fantasy.
He began his career as a comic book artist, working on comic books (White Indian, Thunga of the Congo, publications by Warren) and comic strips (Johnny Comet, Li’l Abner, Flash Gordon). J'avais envie de vous faire découvrir un des mes artistes favoris, un monstre, une légende... Très très souvent les gens ont déjà vu une des ses illustrations sans le savoir. Même disparu il reste une référence dans l'univers de la science-fiction et surtout de la fantasy:
j'ai nommé Monsieur Frank Frazetta!
Personnellement, je crois que je l'ai découvert via "Tygra, le feu et la glace", un film de 1983, produit par un autre grand monsieur : Ralph Bakshi (qui mériterai lui aussi un post rien que pour lui!)

I just discovered this author (I don’t know much about science fiction and fantasy). Thank you so much for this recommendation; I’m going to check it out at my bookstore 😁.
