It works :) I might add a link between the top of the femur and the pelvis, to help remember the position of these bones in relation to the pelvis. Good job!
Bonjour Chat-chat !
Understood :) Just be careful with the leg bones. Our hips are wider than the distance between our feet when we stand upright. This means that the thigh bones curve inward, and the lower leg bones are perpendicular to the ground. Iâve added some notes on the drawing ^^
This was already happening with my model that has no contact points đ.
I thought I had corrected the issue, but I donât have your expert eye! Thank you đ. Iâll try to apply your valuable advice to my next characterâŠ
Hello Corto-34! That looks pretty good! Just pay attention to the alignment of the body parts. Also, the ribcage is too small, and the thigh bones are too rounded. Also, the bones in the lower legs should be perpendicular to the ground. Otherwise, itâs well-built :)
As an initial step to familiarize myself with and understand the subject matter, I conducted some research on the area, which allowed me to store this information in my memory bank.
Nice work, itâs well done in terms of structure and proportion! Given that there are quite detailed instructions, I would just say that the sacrum and coccyx should extend down a little further. In any case, I approve :)
Here is my profile search, but I need help with another issue. My brain is blocking me; I canât seem to create simple shapes for a human skeleton, whether in a right or left profile view. What I have in mind, I canât seem to represent it. This is a real, initial problem. How can I overcome this? Thank you for your help.
This profile view is very good! As for the three-quarter view, you need to pay attention to the alignments and proportions, especially making sure to build a solid foundation before adding details. It's true that some of the shapes themselves can be complicated to render in a three-quarter view, but you can simplify them if you want. The best thing to do is to use references and try to understand them. It's good to have an anatomy book handy; otherwise, I found a pretty good image that can help (even if the skeleton is in a somewhat awkward pose).
When it comes to my personal library, I can hold my own on topics ranging from the 16th to the 19th century. But nothing can replace the guidance of a teacher, so thank you, Nayala, for taking on this important and valuable role in my life.
I have to admit that I struggled a lot to overcome the challenge of my brain not wanting to arrange the elements in perspective and, above all, to depict movement. I will readily admit that this character is androgynous, but the action, the gaze, and the posture are there, and, most importantly, the outlines, which, upon closer examination, provide valuable information for creating a sense of dynamism in the character. I still have a lot of work to do to achieve this, and without forgetting to ensure the correct proportions, which helps to avoid that androgynous look. I am working gradually, and perhaps too seriously, but I know the level I am aiming for, so I need to find the means to achieve it, and on that front, the course and the Dessindigo team are giving us all the tools we need with the guidelines. Thank you.
In the end, three-quarters of it turned out well! Only the rib cage is a bit too wide. This androgynous look comes from the fact that the poor guy has very little flesh on his bones! You shouldnât place the skin so close to the bones (which creates a very slender figure, giving it a feminine appearance); remember that there will be muscles on top of the bones. So, weâll have to see how that looks when we get to the muscle tutorial. Good work overall!
The training is so well structured that it allows for continuous progress. While there may be some minor gaps in the current lesson that raise questions for me, I usually find the answers in the following lesson, and the process of reflection is already underway. This is just my personal opinion, but I appreciate this demanding approach to learning drawing.
Here are a few sketches. I love working on figures, but Iâm having a lot of trouble. Iâm using the course materials a lot to help me find the right balance.
Great work on the structure! Just a note: you seem to have forgotten to include the joints on the front view (these are useful reference points for the knees), and on the side views, the continuity of the spine at the back of the pelvis (the coccyx) is missing, which makes it difficult to visualize the entire curve. But overall, well done!
Great work! The skeletal structure is well understood, as are the points of contact. The cheekbones could be more integrated into it; right now, they are only half-colored. Well done in any case! ^^
Bonjour NonowX3 !
