It's hard to properly recognize the shapes from this angle, but it looks right to me =)

Aaaargh, it seems my brain isn't working properly!
I did the first requested exercise while sticking out my tongue (Perspectives 1), but to understand a perspective view as soon as it gets a bit more complex, I have to start by doodling sketches like the ones I'm attaching (Perspectives 2). It's only on this basis that I manage to apply the theory of horizon lines and correct the perspectives of my doodles.
It reminds me of French grammar: I used to write almost without any mistakes until they tried to teach me the grammatical rules. Then, it got worse: trying to apply them, I consistently chose the wrong rule and made lots of mistakes. I eventually gave up on grammatical theory and my instinctive French became reliable again.
As for perspectives, I think I will see what the long-term outcome of my sketching trick is because when I try to apply the theory, I end up with lines going all over the place that look like nothing.

J'ai fait le premier exercice demandé en tirant la langue (Perspectives 1), mais pour comprendre une vision en perspective dès qu'elle devient un peu plus compliquée, je dois commencer par gribouiller des esquisses comme celles que je joins (Perspectives 2). C'est seulement sur cette base que je réussis à appliquer la théorie des lignes d'horizon et que je peux corriger les perspectives de mes gribouillis.
Ca me rappelle la grammaire française: j'écrivais pratiquement sans fautes jusqu'au moment où on a voulu m'enseigner les règles de grammaire. Là, ça s'est gâté: en essayant de les appliquer, je me trompais systématiquement de règle et je faisais plein de fautes. J'ai fini par renoncer à la théorie grammaticale et mon français instinctif est redevenu fiable.
Pour ce qui est des perspectives, je pense que vais voir ce que donne à long terme mon truc de l'esquisse, parce que quand j'essaie d'appliquer la théorie, je me retrouve avec des lignes dans tous les sens qui ne ressemblent à rien.

Hello Catherine,

Your brain works very well, it's not easy to "scribble sketches" in perspective that hold up as you do here. In my opinion, it's even better to know how to do this a bit instinctively than to know how to apply the theory of perspective very well but have a lot of trouble easily visualizing shapes in volume. Instinctively, your perspectives are quite accurate, so don't hesitate to use this advantage. Most of my fellow illustrators don't spend their time drawing perspective lines but do it "by eye" and it works very well :)

Ton cerveau fonctionne très bien, ce n'est pas évident de "gribouiller des esquisses" en perspective qui se tiennent comme tu le fais ici. Si tu veux mon avis, il vaut même mieux savoir faire ça un peu à l'instinct que savoir très bien appliquer la théorie de la perspective mais avoir beaucoup de mal à visualiser facilement les formes en volume. Instinctivement, tes perspectives sont assez justes donc il ne faut pas hésiter à te servir de cet atout. La plupart de mes collègues dessinateurs ne passent pas leur temps à tracer des lignes de perspective mais font ça "à l'oeil" et ça fonctionne très bien :)

That looks great to me :)
On your post number 3, I noticed that an edge was missing, the one closest to us on the large volume. But it's nothing serious, we can clearly see it was an oversight and that you understood 👍

Ca me semble très bien :)
Sur ton post numéro 3 j'ai remarqué qu'il manquait une arête, celle la plus près de nous sur le grand volume. Mais rien de grave, on voit bien que c'est un oubli et que tu as compris 👍

Hello,

Here are my drawings for exercise 2.

I deliberately kept the transparency to confirm that the construction was correct each time.

However, I went over the lines that are "visible" in the case of an opaque object.

Hello Dawiid!

The perspective itself, and the rendering in transparency with the "visible" thicker lines looks very neat, it’s perfect!
For the first drawing, the view does not really allow to recognize the shape accurately but it seems good,
For the second, I notice that the small block does not go as far as on the model, normally it should almost reach the end of the second indentation!

No worries though, it’s clear that you have understood well :)

La perspective en elle même, et le rendu en transparence avec les traits "visibles" plus épais ça fait très propre, c'est impec !
Pour le premier dessin, la vue ne permet pas franchement de reconnaître la forme avec précision mais ça m'a l'air bien,
Pour le second, je remarque que le petit bloc ne va pas aussi loin que sur le modèle, normalement il arrive presque au bout du deuxième renfoncement !

Pas grave cela dit on voit que tu as bien compris :)
