Surprisingly, I found it more enjoyable to do than the robot...
But indeed, some things pose problems, especially the curves...
A volume composed of straight lines remains relatively easy to work with, but something composed of curves becomes much more difficult!!!
Awesome, thatâs a great board!
And itâs perfect for curves.
But with experience, youâll find solutions for more complex objects, youâll see! đđ
Hello, here is my drawing board for the car. I think the hardest part is drawing all the angles. I donât always manage to visualize it from the front or the side. What do you think? Thanks, Iâm trying, and as they say, Iâm just starting out.
I think youâre trying to overcomplicate things. First, donât worry about volume or perspective. Keep it simple and work in two dimensions.
This will allow you to practice seeing the different stages of the drawing more clearly, and to identify the areas of the object that are more challenging.
Later, it will be easier to draw by incorporating depth.
But to start, keep it simple! Front view, side view, back view⊠Weâre not trying to pull our hair out here đ
Hello, I tried to apply the same approach to another, more modern car, and it proved to be very difficult. There were no very clear geometric shapes, and the design was quite minimalist.
You might not realize it, but what youâre doing is even more complicated than you think. đ
At first, the car I use as an example seems daunting to everyone, but in reality, itâs not that complex to break down because its large volumes appear to be ânestedâ within each other. With more modern cars, everything is curves and fluidity... itâs difficult to break down and identify the large volumes and shapes!
Iâm not saying itâs impossible, of course, but it requires a lot of practice.
That being said, I still think you did a good job.
And in any case, you perfectly understood the principle of the exercise.
Here is exercise 3. When doing this type of exercise with other objects, is it better to imagine them or to find photos from different angles (or even use the actual objects)? Iâm asking in terms of practice â what is the best method?
I didnât quite follow the instructions for the assignment :( and I couldnât help but go into detail!! lol But I marked the assignment as âneeds workâ and I promise Iâll do it :)

You might not realize it, but youâve already done the hardest part of the exercise.

Good luck!
Courage !

Do you have any tips for this type of drawing?

Now, move on to the next one!

Thank you.
Merci

Both methods provide good workouts.
Personally, I prefer to exercise my imagination, but improving your observation skills is also very important.
Try both and see which one you prefer.
