In video 19 of Chapter 8, at 10 minutes and 31 seconds, you talk about the “finger tool.”

Since I couldn’t find any information about this tool in Krita, I followed your advice and consulted the Krita manual. I found an article that is very theoretical, but it doesn’t tell us what to do in practice.

Here’s the link to the section on color mixing in Krita: https://docs.krita.org/fr/general_concepts/colors/color_mixing.html

I would really appreciate it if you could help me and provide a “Krita tool” or a shortcut that would allow me to continue working. Thank you very much.

P.S. I found the “blender blur” brush. Could it replace the finger tool?

Oops!!! You talk about it in Chapter 10. Is that the one?

Merci beaucoup.

PS.

In Krita, the finger tool is integrated into the brush tool. Brushes that have a symbol representing two water droplets function either as the finger tool or (depending on the settings) as a slightly simplified version of Photoshop’s mixer brush. To replace the finger tool specifically, the smudge tool is the closest equivalent.

Hi!

After reading several times about where to place the specular reflection, I still don’t understand the technique used. I understand that the light reflection leaves with the same angle as when it arrives, but why does this change the location of the reflection? Why isn't it where the light initially arrives? Or maybe it is, and I just didn't understand... Could you explain it to me again?

Have a good day.

Salut !

Hi Isaiah!

Your gradients are very well done, but you need to review the shape of the shadow. I think it could be a little more defined to match the shape of the sphere. Also, review the shadow on the ground: let it wrap around the contact surface (of the ground with the sphere) a bit so that it looks clearer.

Salut Isaiah !
