This experimental work on the value of traits was great. It’s crazy how it changes the look of the character.

I'm not sure at all if I forced the traits consistently, but I tried 😉

C'était super ce travail d'expérimentation sur la valeur des traits. C'est dingue comme ça change l'aspect du personnage.

Je ne suis pas sûre du tout d'avoir forcé les traits de façon cohérente mais j'ai essayé 😉

Indeed, your strokes don't always follow the same logic; you'll need to be a bit more rigorous on that if you are playing with the stroke values in your drawings. However, you have been quite consistent with the cow, except the horns should only have a thick line at the bottom, not at the top ^^

Effectivement tes traits ne suivent pas forcément toujours la même logique, il faudra être un peu plus rigoureux là-dessus si tu joues sur les valeurs de traits dans tes dessins. Par contre tu as été plutôt cohérent sur la vache, hormis les cornes qui ne devraient avoir un trait épais qu'en-dessous, pas au-dessus ^^

It's not bad, the changes between your fine and thick values are just too abrupt. It changes suddenly, without transition. Ideally, the lines should thicken and thin out gradually ^^

C'est pas mal, les changements entre tes valeurs fines et épaisses sont juste trop brusques. Ça change d'un coup, sans transition. Dans l'idéal, il faudrait que les traits s'épaississent et se réduisent petit à petit ^^

Here are my attempts on the values of the strokes, I'm really happy to have learned this point because I always draw with a clear line and this was one of the things I wanted to learn when starting this training :)
I'm not yet comfortable with the exercise, but I have a lot of drawings to rework. If you have any feedback for me, I'm all ears.

Voici mes essais sur les valeurs des traits, je suis vraiment contente d'avoir appris ce point car je dessine toujours à la ligne claire et c'est un des points que je voulais apprendre en commençant cette formation :)
Je ne suis pas encore à l'aise avec l'exercice mais j'ai beaucoup de dessins à retravailler. Si vous avez des retours a me faire je suis toute ouïe.

I also had issues with my lead wearing down, I read the response to another similar comment ;)

J'ai eu aussi des soucis avec l'usure de ma mine, j'ai lu la réponse à autre commentaire similaire ;)

That's pretty good all that :D

Know also that you can vary the line without pressing down, just by thickening it. If ever you want to test it one of these days ;p

Sache aussi que tu peux varier le trait sans appuyer, juste en épaississant. Si jamais tu veux tester un de ces quatre ;p

Hello, I have the same comment as for the previous version: don't suddenly change the line thickness, gradually transition by slowly thickening or thinning it ^^

Hello, je reste sur la même remarque que pour la version précédente : ne change pas brusquement l'épaisseur du trait, amène ça doucement en épaississant ou en affinant petit à petit ^^

I'm interested to see what it looks like with thick and thin strokes (meaning the same stroke that is thin in one place and thicker in another).

It's pretty good, but don't make abrupt changes in line thickness. Smoothly transition by gradually thickening or tapering the line. You will achieve a more harmonious look ;p

C'est pas mal, mais ne fais pas de changements brusques d'épaisseur de trait. Amène ça en douceur en épaississant ou en affinant progressivement. Tu obtiendras un rendu plus harmonieux ;p
