Introduction to fantasy
1 minWe begin this course by exploring what makes a fantasy landscape unique. Through several examples, you’ll learn to recognize the different fantasy worlds and understand how their atmosphere can completely transform a setting.

The essential basics: perspective & plans.
1 minTo give a landscape depth, you need to know how to work with perspective and different planes. You’ll learn how to identify and organize them within an image, then put these concepts into practice with an exercise.

Building a set: architecture & nature.
1 minWe now move on to building a landscape, starting with simple shapes to create more detailed elements. A reference image will then serve as a starting point for creating your own fantasy setting.

From reality to fantasy.
1 minNow we move from reality to fantasy by discovering how to gradually transform a simple landscape. The goal is to leave more room for imagination in order to create a setting that seems to belong to another world.

Final illustration
1 minFinally, let’s move on to the final illustration, where we revisit everything that was covered during the training. Starting with a preliminary sketch, the landscape gradually takes shape until the coloring is applied, with a few adjustments to enhance the fantastic atmosphere.
