Hello,

This course was amazing! Thank you for the various exercises.

For the third exercise, I first tried modifying the horizon line (I made it straight), and then I tried again without modifying it. That's when I realized that the horizon line, regardless of its inclination, corresponds to eye level! The course is very clear and well-explained. They must have had a lot of fun in 1415 when they discovered perspective. As for me, I’m discovering it in 2018 and wow!

Ce cours m'a éclaté !!! Merci pour les différents exos.

Sur le 3ème exo j'ai fait un 1er essai en pensant qu'il fallait modifier la ligne d'horizon ( je l'ai mise droite) et un 2 ème essai sans modifier la ligne d'horizon . Du coup j'ai compris que la ligne d'horizon, quelque soit son inclinaison correspond au niveau des yeux !!! Cours très explicite . Ils ont vraiment du s'éclater en 1415 quand ils ont découvert la perspective. Pour ma part je la découvre en 2018 et waouh !!!

I really enjoyed this simple, clear, well-structured, and well-illustrated course, just the way I like it! I’ve tried taking a course or two on perspective before, but I was a bit lost (there was too much information); here, the course is progressive and slow enough, with enough explanations for beginners. Progress is made step by step, with repetitions, illustrations, and simple concepts, and additional things are added as needed, which is exactly how I wanted it to be, so thank you to the instructor! 👍😁

J'ai vraiment apprécié ce cours simple, clair, bien construit et illustré comme j'aime ! J'ai déjà essayé de suivre un cours ou deux sur la perspective mais je nageais un peu (il y avait trop d'infos) ; là le cours est progressif, et suffisamment lent et explicatif pour les novices. Faire progresser se fait pas à pas avec des répétitions, des illustrations, des notions simples quitte à rajouter des choses au fur et à mesure et là c'est comme je souhaitais que ce soit, donc merci au prof !👍😁

This is a very good course, really practical and well explained. I just completed the exercises and looked at Marcello's drawings (commented on by Grégoire) for verification. This forum is a great help! 😇

Hi titedenaz,

Overall, it’s very good!

I just noticed two small errors:

1) In your top-left shape, I don’t think you can see the left side! Since we can see the right side of the object, its left side would be hidden ;-)

2) On the line below, for the object in the bottom left, you forgot to include a small part of it that extends into the depth (to its right) :-p

Other than that, I have nothing to criticize :-)

Dans l'ensemble c'est très bien !

J'ai seulement remarqué deux petites erreurs :

1) Sur ta forme en haut à gauche je ne pense pas que l'on puisse voir le côté gauche ! Comme on voit l'objet de droite, son côté gauche serait caché ;-)

2) Sur la ligne du dessous, l'objet en bas à gauche, tu as oublié d'en envoyer un petit bout dans la profondeur (à sa droite) :-p

À part ça je n'ai rien à redire :-)

Okay, if I wanted to be difficult, I would say that the wall stops before reaching infinity, but it’s so far away that you can’t see it... 🍌

Je vois de voir de quoi tu parles dans le cours suivant sur la perspective. 😆

Bon si je voudrais être de mauvaise foi je dirais que le mur s'arrête avant l'infini, mais c'est tellement loin qu'on ne le voit pas... 🍌

Haha, no problem, I tend to exaggerate a bit in my explanations anyway.

To be precise, for a man whose eyes are approximately 1.70 meters above ground level (or sea level), the horizon is about 4.7 km away.

So, it’s still far from infinity!

But it’s still a pretty large distance 😆

Haha pas de soucis, de toute façon j'exagère un peu dans mes explications.

Pour de vrai, pour un homme dont les yeux sont à environ 1,70 mètre au-dessus du niveau 0 (sol ou mer), l'horizon se trouve à environ 4,7 km.

Donc on est loin de l'infini quand même !

Mais ça reste un grand mur 😆
