Youâre doing pretty well ^^ Youâre still struggling a bit with creating depth (you tend to make all the elements roughly the same size), and you also tend to create compositions that are centered.
Donât hesitate to try again, even though the ones youâve created so far are quite good ^^

Here are my sketches, based on a reduced A5 format so that I can fit four on each page of my notebook (which is actually A5). I set myself the challenge of doing four in landscape orientation and four in portrait orientation... but I find it much harder to find inspiration for portrait sketches! I was wondering... maybe it's because our field of vision is more closely related to a landscape format than a portrait format (a higher horizontal field of vision than a vertical one), and it's a little easier to visualize horizontal scenes than vertical ones? đ

The deformation of a circle into an ellipse isnât obvious. Does the rest of the tutorial provide any help or explanations regarding this type of shape?
Iâm not sure if Greg covers the topic of ellipses during the training. However, I remember discussing it in several articles in the blog section of the website.
A circle is always inscribed in a square. But for ellipses, there is no absolute rule or foolproof method. It requires practice and using squares in perspective to get a reasonably accurate base.

Here are my vignette drafts. I really enjoyed doing this, and I hope I understood the exercise. In my opinion, numbers 4 and 5 are clearly wrong, and I hope the others are better.
After looking at the corrected versions from others, I realize that I kept it very simple and that I could have given more freedom to my imagination.
Iâm looking forward to hearing what the professionals think, and based on their feedback, itâs clear that this is an exercise I will rework, trying to be less basic.
Itâs not bad; youâve kept it simple, but youâve also tried to add some variety and experimented with different things :)
Sometimes, I miss the presence of a horizon line (where is the background? Whatâs behind the house/trees?).
But some of the thumbnails are cool, like the third one, for example, and the second-to-last one. The last one would have been great too if it had a horizon line or something in the background ^^
However, be aware that you tend to create compositions that are very centered. The first seven are centered; you only varied it in the last three :)
You will have the opportunity to rework all of this in the rest of the course, and Iâm looking forward to seeing what it will look like :D

Only the first thumbnail seems less polished to me, but the other three are very good, and youâve applied the rules of perspective well in them ;p
Eh bien c'est parfait ^^
Il n'y a que la premiÚre vignette qui me parait bien moins aboutie, mais les trois autres sont trÚs bonnes et tu as bien appliqué les rÚgles de perspective dedans ;p

Tu t'en sors pas mal ^^ Tu as encore du mal Ă donner de la profondeur (tu as tendances Ă mettre tous les Ă©lĂ©ments un peu Ă la mĂȘme taille) et tu as aussi tendance Ă faire des compositions centrĂ©es.
N'hĂ©site pas Ă en refaire, mĂȘme si celles que tu proposes fonctionnent assez bien ^^

VoilĂ mes essais, basĂ©s sur un format A5 rĂ©duit pour en tenir quatre par page de mon carnet (qui est A5 justement). Je me suis imposĂ© d'en faire quatre en paysage et quatre autres en portrait... mais j'ai bien plus de mal Ă trouver de l'inspiration en portrait ! Je me demandais... Peut ĂȘtre est-ce du au fait que notre champ de vision est plus apparentĂ© Ă un format paysage que portrait (champ de vision horizontal plus Ă©levĂ© que le champ vertical) et qu'on a un peu moins de mal Ă visualiser des scĂšnes horizontales que verticales ? đ

Oh, you had a lot of fun, including taking shots from underneath the ground (twice!).
Itâs pretty cool, even though you can see that the perspective is a little off in some of them.
For me, the most successful one is definitely the fourth; itâs well-balanced, it has a good composition, and thereâs depth in your image ^^
I also appreciate the fact that youâre trying to tell a story in each panel :D

Oh, tu t'es bien amusé, y compris à faire une vue par-dessous le sol (deux fois !).
C'est plutĂŽt cool, mĂȘme si on voit que ça pĂȘche un peu au niveau de la perspective sur certaines.
Pour moi la plus réussie c'est clairement la 4eme, elle est équilibrée, ça respire et on a de la profondeur dans ton image ^^
Je salue aussi le fait que tu cherches Ă raconter une histoire dans chaque vignette :D

J'ai de la peine à représenter les sapins dans l'espace. Nous avons vu des exemples de carrés et la forme conique du sapin est plutÎt complexe.
La déformation du cercle en ellipse n'est pas évidente. Est-ce que la suite de la formation donne de l'aide ou des explications par rapport à ce type de forme ?

Un cercle est toujours inscrit dans un carré. Mais pour les ellipses, il n'y a pas de rÚgle absolue et de méthode infaillible. C'est de l'entrainement et se servir des carrés en perspective pour avoir une base à peu prÚs correcte.

Voici les essais de vignettes. Jâai beaucoup aimĂ© faire ça, jâespĂšre avoir compris lâexercice. Pour moi la 4 et la 5 sont clairement fausses, pour les autres jâespĂšre que câest plus juste.
AprĂšs avoir regardĂ© les corrigĂ©s des autres , je me rends compte que je suis restĂ©e trĂšs basique et que jâaurai pu laisser plus de libertĂ© Ă mon imagination..
Jâattends donc lâavis de pros et suite aux remarques câest clairement un exercice que je retravaillerai en Ă©tant moins basique.

C'est pas mal, tu es restée simple, mais tu as cherché à varier un peu et tu as testé pas mal de choses :)
Je dĂ©plore parfois l'absence de ligne d'horizon (oĂč se trouve le lointain ? Qu'est-ce qu'il y a derriĂšre la maison / les arbres ?)
Mais certaines vignettes sont cool comme la 3eme par exemple et l'avant-derniÚre. La derniÚre avec une ligne d'horizon ou n'importe quoi dans le lointain, ça aurait été trÚs chouette aussi ^^
Attention cependant, tu as trÚs trÚs souvent tendance à faire des compositions centrées. Les 7 premiÚres sont centrées, il n'y a que sur les 3 derniÚre que tu as varié :)
Tu seras amené à retravailler tout ça dans la suite de la formation, j'ai hùte de voir ce que ça donnera :D
