Good job!
The button is smaller in your top view than in your 3D view (which is closer to reality), and a side view would have been nice, but itâs clear that youâve analyzed the overall volumes well, and it works very well!
You did a great job; I donât really have much to say!
If I were to be a bit picky, Iâd say that the button is a little small, and probably because you could have accentuated the difference in size between your two cylinders just a tiny bit more, which would have given you more space for the button ^^. But Iâm only saying this to nitpick, precisely because you did such a great job. Well done! â*: .ïœĄ. o(â§âœâŠ)o .ïœĄ.:*â
Hello Marie :)
Thank you so much for your feedback! And yes, youâre absolutely right (you can tell you have a professional eye, haha), I was indeed a bit bothered by the proportions of these two cylinders when viewed from above. I could see that the first one was supposed to be smaller, but I couldnât figure out how to make the support work by making it smaller. đ
In any case, thank you very much for this encouraging comment; Iâm looking forward to seeing how I manage with the rest!
Here are my masterpieces đ! I was relieved to see that the steps for creating a drawing given in the course were the same as the ones I already follow when I draw characters for my novels! However, I still need to work on perspective and 3D rendering!
The elements in perspective are looking pretty good :) The cylinder at the bottom isnât rounded enough at the bottom, given the viewpoint. For the top view, considering the direction of your drawing of the top bar, the top circle should be smaller than the bottom one! Otherwise, itâs good work. But Iâm missing some views of this robot taken âstraight onâ! Views from the side, front, and back. Apart from the top view, youâve only done perspective views. Iâm looking forward to seeing the rest ;)
Itâs not bad, but the bottom shouldnât be rounded like that. It looks as if youâre viewing it from above, but if you imagine your perspective being in the middle of the object, what you would see at the bottom would be much straighter. Let me show you with the example of a glass.
Here is my drawing. :)
My lines are very (too) heavy, and I found this exercise quite difficult because I felt the need to create something perfect (with the volumes, the shadows, etc.). It was by looking at the correction that I understood the real goal, which is to really simplify as much as possible.
I still erase a lot and go over my lines... :/
This exercise is quite well done, including the construction and the different views. For your top view, the bottom circle might be slightly too large (it should be significantly larger than the other one, but not that much). For the front view (on the right), itâs well understood; you just added small curves on the bottom sides, but since itâs a front view, you donât need to. You can make sharp angles instead. The same goes for your first view on the left; the bottom is too rounded, which makes it look slightly like a top view, but it should be straighter with this perspective. In any case, youâve generally understood the principle; itâs good work, and I think you can move on to the next step. Thereâs no need to be perfect with the lines; the important thing is to understand, and I think youâve got it!
Here are my sketches for the robot. I just looked at the corrected version, and now I feel like an idiot for trying to create something so perfect.
I look forward to your feedback.
Thank you for this exercise.
Great work! You clearly understand the principle of perspective and the construction of the robot! Just pay attention to the proportions of some of the elements. In your top right view, the âpillarâ in the middle should be a little wider. In the bottom right view, your front cylinder should also be slightly wider. In any case, I approve; youâve understood the exercise! Indeed, it doesnât need to be perfectly neat for this exercise, but at least itâs legible, and itâs good practice for drawing lines. Well done on this exercise! ;)
Not bad, itâs quite well done :) Just pay attention to a few details: the second cylinder is a little too narrow and doesnât have a clear delineation of the red âlid.â The button is also too small and not centered properly within its area. The overall figure seems to be viewed slightly more from above than the model. But itâs a beautiful piece of work! However, the purpose of the exercise is to imagine the object from different angles so that you can visualize it properly. Iâm missing a top view, a front view, and a side view! So Iâm looking forward to seeing the next part ;)
Hello Yvanna!
I understand everything, good job! Just a small adjustment for your profile view: for your second cylinder, youâve lowered it too much, below the base. Erase the part that sticks out underneath, and it will be perfect. For the first cylinder, youâve made the bottom of its shape fit into the base. When viewed straight on, you shouldnât see that part thatâs inside, so erase the part that sticks out as well. ^^ For the top view, it looks good :) Just note that the largest circle shouldnât extend beyond the base; therefore, the base should widen towards the largest circle. Otherwise, itâs all good, I approve :)
Great work on this robot in perspective! Thereâs just a small line that shouldnât continue onto the right cylinder. Itâs located at the bottom right; Iâll erase it to show you. Iâm looking forward to seeing the rest of the exercise. You should imagine this robot from other angles (front, side, top view); it helps to understand the object better. Good luck!
Bonjour Micheline !
Bon courage !
This is pretty good; the robot is generally well understood!
For the perspective view, itâs not bad, but pay attention to finishing your shapes and their volumes; some lines are missing. You need to imagine your object with different complete blocks. Iâve made a corrected drawing for you so you can see. For your view at the bottom in the middle, youâve made the bottom of your cylinder widen too much, but itâs not the cylinder that widens to make the bottom as wide as the second cylinder. Itâs the base that widens as it moves towards the larger cylinder. And when viewed directly from the front, it can be represented with just two small rectangles. For the rest, itâs good; good work :)
Bonjour DessinIG !
Overall, itâs well understood! There are many different perspectives, and thereâs still work to be done. There are a few minor issues, so Iâve made some visual corrections. However, all the perspectives are viewed from slightly above. It would be good to also see some perspectives that are more âstraight on,â meaning you position your viewpoint in the middle of the object. We wouldnât see the tops of the objects anymore; it would be a straight-on view. In any case, good job!

Bon boulot !
