I panicked and gave up for the rest of the day (but kept it in the back of my mind), and I came back to it tonight, and I think I managed to figure it out.
I think youâre like me; you canât help but add more challenges to your work, hahaha ^^
Your exercises are really cool, although I noticed a mistake in this one: the small cube placed on top of the large cube â I donât understand where and how itâs positioned. Based on the shadows youâve placed, it seems to be on top, but I donât see its base as if it were partially inside the cube directly below it.
Iâll also take this opportunity to make a small adjustment to the values (while Iâm at it ;p)

So, I was wondering how you constructed your L shape using this third vanishing point. Normally, it's the same principle as with vanishing points placed on the horizon line: you choose where they are and then make the corresponding lines converge towards them.
If you have your vanishing point placed from the start, you can't have a fourth vanishing point.
Did you perhaps make your lines converge gradually? (which would explain the two vanishing points?)
Just a small comment on the last one with the third vanishing point: itâs technically correct if the goal was to make the buildings wider at the bottom and narrower at the top (i.e., not rectangles). If you were trying to create straight buildings, but with a third vanishing point as if you were looking at them from a high or low angle, you would have had to place the point at the bottom and not at the top ^^
Anyway, you can move on to the next one, itâs good âïž
Here is the result of exercise 2, done with a pencil.
I placed object 1 in the background using two vanishing points.
The second object is in the foreground with two different heights and two vanishing points that are different from the first object.
And here I have a big doubt... is it a mistake to have used two different vanishing points for each object?

The trick of simplifying into one large block and then cutting into it has really made things easier for me, and now it's much easier for me to position myself in 3D within the desired viewing angle. Thank you again, Dessindigo.

Indeed, in your second exercise, you shouldnât have changed the vanishing point. You could have, but only if the object in question wasnât parallel to the other two. For example, if you want to draw a room and not have it look like something from Ikea, but instead add a bit of disorder, misaligning chairs, etc., then the objects that arenât aligned with the others will have different vanishing points.
But apart from that mistake in the second exercise, the rest is good :D âïž
Thank you for your response; I understand that it is possible to have different vanishing points (but still on the same horizon line) for objects that are not parallel to each other. Little by little, it will all make sense.

I took this photo of the buildings across from my house, and I'm having a few issues reproducing it on paper:
- The road drawn in blue in front of the buildings is curved, and although it's a "frontal horizontal," it also has two vanishing points.
- The front faces of buildings 1 and 2 are actually parallel, but they don't have the same vanishing point. So I matched the vanishing points of 1 with 2' and of 2 with 1', but is that correct?
I realize this is due to the fisheye effect of the photo, but how can I overcome it?

Even I wouldnât attempt to do that without help. I print a grid like this and then draw over it. So, apart from telling you to print this grid and use it to recreate your photo, there isnât really a simple and quick method to help you find the correct reference points. Because your photo doesnât actually have any straight lines. All your lines are curved, and we all know how difficult curves are to manage ^^'
If you want to recreate a photo, you need to avoid the fish eye effect. See if you can adjust that on your device so you can work with a more standard perspective with two or three vanishing points :3

Tes exercices sont super cool, mĂȘme si je note une erreur sur celui-ci : le petit cube posĂ© sur le gros cube, je ne comprends pas oĂč et comment il se positionne. Vu les ombres que tu as placĂ©, il est positionnĂ© dessus, pourtant je ne vois pas son socle comme s'il Ă©tais en partie dans le cube juste en-dessous.
J'en profite aussi pour faire une petit correction de valeurs (tant qu'Ă faire ;p)

Eh bien je me demande comment tu as construis ton L avec ce troisiĂšme point de fuite du coup. Normalement c'est le mĂȘme principe qu'avec les points de fuite placĂ©s sur la ligne d'horizon : tu choisis oĂč ils sont et tu fais fuir les droites correspondantes vers eux.
Si tu as ton point de fuite placé dÚs le départ, tu ne peux pas avoir de quatriÚme point de fuite.
Aurais-tu par hasard fait fuir tes droites au fur et Ă mesure ? (ce qui expliquerait les deux points de fuite du coup ?)
En tout cas pour le reste ça marche bien ;p

Petite remarque sur le dernier avec le troisiÚme point de fuite : c'est techniquement correct si le but était de faire des bùtiments plus larges en bas et plus étroits en haut (pas des rectangles quoi). Si tu cherchais à faire des bùtiments droits, mais avec un troisiÚme point de fuite comme si on les regardait en plongée ou contre plongée il aurait fallu placer le point en bas et non en haut ^^
Quoi qu'il en soit, tu peux passer Ă la suite, c'est good âïž

Effectivement sur ton deuxiÚme exercice, tu n'aurais pas dû changer de point de fuite. Tu aurais pu, uniquement si l'objet en question n'était pas parallÚle aux deux autres. Typiquement si tu veux dessiner une piÚce et ne pas avoir un rendu Ikea, mais mettre un peu de désordre, désaxer des chaises, etc, alors les objets non alignés aux autres, auront d'autres points de fuite.
Mais Ă part cette erreur sur le deuxiĂšme exercice, le reste est bon :D âïž

J'ai pris cette photo de bĂątiments en face de chez moi et elle me pose quelques problĂšmes pour la reproduction sur papier :
- La route tracée en bleu devant les bùtiments est courbe et bien que ça soit une "horizontal frontale" elle a aussi deux points de fuite

Alors, effectivement, tu es face à un problÚme à cause de l'effet "fish eye" de ta photo. Fish eye = perspective sphérique. Ce qui veut dire tracer une grille de ce genre : https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/f/f9/Image_dun_quadrillage_carr%C3%A9.png/500px-Image_dun_quadrillage_carr%C3%A9.png
MĂȘme moi je me risque pas Ă faire ça de tĂȘte, j'imprime une grille comme celle-ci et je fais mon dessin par-dessus. Donc Ă part te dire d'imprimer cette grille et de l'utiliser pour reproduire ta photo, il n'y a pas vraiment de mĂ©thode simple et rapide pour t'aider Ă avoir des repĂšre correct. Parce que ta photo n'a aucune ligne droite en fait. Toutes tes lignes sont courbes et on sait tous comme les courbes sont difficiles Ă gĂ©rer ^^'
Si tu veux reproduire une photo, il faut que tu évites l'effet fish eye. A voir si tu peux régler ça sur ton appareil pour pouvoir travailler sur une base plus classique de perspective à deux ou trois points de fuite :3
